Help with civic, fuel problem??
My sister has a 90 or 91 civic 4 door DX. It's completely bone stock, has 5 spd tranny. Just recently, the motor starts to cut out going up hills, usually at highway speeds. Sometimes I can get it to start back up again right away in neutral, but lately had no luck at all!! I thought it had something to do with the distributor or fuel pump. She already had the main relay replaced, didn't work. And at the moment it's in the shop and the guy doesn't have a clue to what the hell is wrong. The motor has about 145,000 miles on it. IF ANYONE can help, please let me know, all suggestions are greatly appreciated. THANX
More than likely a fuel pump.
Check the fuel pressure.
Pressure should be like 32-38 psi.
Check spark plugs.
hope this helps
