i have checked the vss on the tranny and nothing was wrong....speedometer is still not working so i tried the instrument pannel...nothing there all fuses are good. does anyone know what the resistance on the vss wire should be? i am wondering if the actual circuit board above the vss is bad...
If fuses 19 and 23 (with srs) are ok, then there should be 5V on the orange VSS wire at the tranny.
Hook it back up and jack up a wheel. test the orange wire again, with it plugged in, and when you rotate the wheel, the voltage should pulse to 5V. If not, it would be your vss. take off the 16-pin connector on the back of the guages. the orange wire there at the gauges should also pulse. If it does, it would be your speedometer.
