how can i tell if im buying a real SI
asap if someone could give me a bracket of vin #'s to check if a hatch is an si or not i would appreciate it. are there any other ways to tell if its an si aside from the seats?
due to the fact that our butt-lovin search engine won't allow a search of two characters, i had a really tough time finding any info about si's, and i might go purchase this hatch for my sister this evening.
considering its a "1991 SI w/ 95' si engine" for $1400, im thinknig its too good to be true...

absolutely genious fool proof SI check

the sunroof slides into the rear of the roof though right? not pop up?
because i could be fooled by a dx with an aftermarket sunroof if the SI is pop up, and that would be horrible.

The sunroof was an option on the DX.
See if there is a clock in the dash at the center air vents. (another option?)
Tach redline starts at 6500 and reads to 8000.
The wheels should be 14" if they are still stock.
Rear windshield wiper.
All this based on my 89 SI hatchback.

thanks you very much for all of the vin info and fast responses. another example of why honda-tech is by far the most informative powerful tool in comparison to any other automotive message board.
