on the wiring ive already swaped the injector wiring and im stumped on the distributer wiring. i have both harnesses but the factory ecu. i have 3 wires on the distributer and i dnt no how 2 hook it up 2 my ecu, or stock harness? it was my daily driver so i need help quick. thanx!!!

You won't be able to run MPFI on your stock ECU. Get a PM6, PM7, PG7 or a PR4 and if you absolutely run out of options, a PM8.

 

i was told to swap around some pins in the ecu and add a couple. that should work. i have a diagram how 2 but its a lil off on the distributer part.

 

yea you have to switch wires at the ecu....but the ecu in there is for DPFI (pm5 i believe)....you need one for MPFI (pm6, pg7, etc)

 

Yeah, what he said^^ About that distributor... You will need a MPFI distributor too. The DPFI distributor doesn't have the NO. 1 Cyl. Position sensor in it. The MPFI distributor does. You can run the MPFI without that sensor, it just won't ever run as well as it could. You will have a loss in power and bad gas mileage.

 

i have the mpfi distributer but the diagram telling me how 2 wire it up is a lil off. and it has a cam position senser and it is supposed 2 be wired in the same step as the distributer. the dpfi has an internal coil and the mpfi distributer that i have has a coil seperate. that all makes 4 a pritty good nitemare.

 

Then you don't have a factory MPFI distributor. The coil was located inside the distributor on all 88-91 Civic and CRX engines. If you want MPFI, you will need an MPFI ECU. That's all there is to it. It sounds like you need to find a different source for your info.
