dpfi into mpfi
my friend has a spare intake manifold w/ fuel rail and wiring off of his 94 cx (d15). I was wondering if anyone knows if i can directly bolt on the intake manifold. I know i will need a new ecu, but what kind of wiring adjustments would i have to make and want kind of ecu would i need? thanks
since u are going to be obdo harness u will need the si harness from a 88-91 hatch or u can go to RYwire.com and they will make u sen in ur dpfi and modifie it to be mpfi. but u will need a resistor box for the injectors and some injector plugs. i have done a wire harness conversion to my friends dpfi and made it mpfi for a ZC but i had the help of the core pin numbers and ecu pin number charts along with step by step instructions on which pins to move and place new pins i do not have the conversion papers anymore i sold them for 50 bucks so sorry but u can get urs done by rywire.com and it is pretty cheap.
ps. if u are going to use that intake set up on ur motor u will need to have a PM6 which is the si ecu.

all u have 2 do instead of buying the wiring is swap around some pins in ur ecu and adding 2. a mpfi needs a cylinder senser and 2 do that u have 2 swap pins from C1 to B10 and C2 to B12. and 2 additional wires from A3 for injector #4 and from A7 to injector #2. ur factory injectors are going to be injectors 1 and 3. then u run the other 4 wires from the injectors to a resister box that u can get out of anything. i got mine out of a 87 integra but i did the zc swap also.
I wauld go the way doberneckerj said its the cheepest way and it works why wast money. To get a step by step process go to http://www.hybrid honda.com they explain it in detail there. there is no reason it wouldnt work
if you feel like saving your self some time, purchase a dpfi to mpfi wire harness and a jumper harnes(if you are going to be using an obd1/2 ecu)
the wire harness is money well spent, the time it takes, its worth it. but if you are in it for the educational value, you cant sacrafice that
