H22 EG question about 5wire to 4wire 02
I did some searching but didn't really find what i needed.
i have a H22a4 swapped into a 92 VX.
using a p13 ECU (ODB1)
i'm pretty sure my 02 is going bad...occasionally I get a 1 & 43 CEL.
i have a 5 wire O2 lying in my garage from the VX motor we took out.
is there a way to use this to replace the 4wire O2 the h22 is using?
also heard you can wire it to run a wideband? is this true?
let me know what my options are.
would prefer to use what i have then to have to buy a new O2

your ECU needs a four wire O2, the five wire is totally different and not compatable.
Sell it and buy a four wire.
the VX uses a L1H1 wideband 5-wire O2 sensor. You can create a DIY wideband controller to run it. google DIYWB

I think your gonna need to swap a wire from the unused vx plug on the passenger side shock tower to an empty slot on the big plug between a brown and a black wire.... Check it out, i'm not 100% if its the same for a h22, but i think thats what u need to do to run a 4 wire o2
