Could it be the Egr valve
MY girl friend finaly upgraded and purchased 2000 accord V6 sedan the question i was asking is that the check engin light keeps comming up and that means no V-tec lol when i drive it..any ways i figuer i reset the computer and it worked for a couple of days then came back on tryied to rest it again same thing in a couple of days so finaly i got it checked out at my local parts store they told me that it was the some thing to do with the Egr valve so what im asking where is the egrvalve located on the 2000 accord and how hard would it be to change it.. or can i fix the problem by cleaning it? thanks
Yes, we need the Diagnostic Code. It will be in the format of P0400 thru P0408.
The reason?
There are several specific failures endemic to the EGR;
Insufficient Flow Detected
Insufficient Flow Malfunction
Excessive Flow Detected
EGR Circuit Malfunction
etc
The code will help point to the deficency.

I just bought a 99 accord does anyone know if this vehicle is still under any warranties? If you purchase a vehicle used does this void the warranties ?
dude just get some carb cleaner and clean that sucker out. no waiting on the dealer and all that crap. also check the connections on the egr make sure they are secure.
