Good Deal? '90 Integra $2000
My buddy's going to sell his integra to me for 2000 if I want. It has 160,000 miles, it's really clean in and out. Basically stock except for some no name intake and coil overs. Just had clutch and timing belt replaced.
I'd be using it just for commuting since my civic is crapping out on me, but I've always liked these cars and it's in pretty good condition.

sounds like a good deal if its clean and has had regular maintenance done and your buddy hasnt beaten on it too hard...

id think you should shoot for like 1700 tops. I got my 94 with new paint and tires for 3k with 140k. And that was 2 years ago.
Offer him 1500 and if he doesnt take it, keep going up higher untill 1700. I wouldnt pay 1700 for it no matter what. My reasoning is that since there is an aftermarket intake, im sure he has beaten on it. And you said he has no name coilovers on it. Those usually have shitty ride quality and dont last long at all.
1700 tops.
I got my 1994 gsr w/ 116k on it, 2nd owner, was busted into, EXTREMELY clean inside, minor rust on rear 1/4 (as do all hondas) for 5700 2.25 years ago. It was the best car i could find after looking for 6 months, so i said screw it and payed a premium. Im glad i did because i havent had any major problems so far.

i bought a 90 GS for $16k OTD....new.
well, my dad did and i bought it from him in 99 for $6k(blue book at the time) with 48k miles on it.
i've had offers upward of $3500, as recent as december, from family friends. it has 123k miles and every maintenance record and no mods.
my point is, the value of these cars are pretty incredible, for their age, if they are well maintained. they hold up extremely well and styling/performance/ergonomics-wise are not far off what the contemporary compact-class cars offer.
