Default Need Cheap Power Upgrades!!

I am new to the whole tuner idea, been with jeeps all of my long 19 years of life. Went to get a new 06 Si but due to certain things ended up with a 04 Si for now at least, now I think it is time to start tuning a lil see what happens. Need some advice to get some good power upgrades without throwing on a turbo quite yet. Interested in the AEM V2 intake any good word or other suggestions?? Need a good exhaust thinking maybe Greddy SP 2, or open to ideas and maybe a DC header and thats about all the bolts ons I want to do right now. If you guys have similar setups let me know or let me know about the best stuff for the money. Thanks hope to hear some ideas..

I think the V2 only comes in one color, but it's the charcoal color! I say give or take it had about 2500 miles on it, probably even less, cuz my car was mostly garaged before I sold my other car! Let me know if your interested, I can post some pics and shoot me a pm if u can!

You can either waste thousands on intake, header, test pipe, exhaust, ect..

or you can get a K20A2 swap.

Because those are comparable... and an Engine swap is cheap.

It seems as if you are still planning to get the 06 Si sometime, how soon? If you are going to trade this car in for a new Si anytime soon I would leave this stock and drive it as is. The less money you spend on this car the more you should have for the new Si if that is ultimatly what you will be driving.

If you're thinking about getting a Turbo later, dont waste your money on the intake or the headers... If you combine the cost of the two, you can easily afford the Hondata Reflash, or even the K-Pro, which either one of them are good Investments....

Nitrous Express System all the way. But do it right, get the TPS/Window Computer to eliminate human error and explosions.

If you're going to keep the EP...

How much are you going to spend?

What about suspension, tire, and brake upgrades?

It's a nice ride in and of itself!
The intake will add a tad, and will make it sound a little nicer.

After that it's a waste of $$ (IMO) unless you don't care to rice it up with things like an exhaust upgrade (makes noise, gains are nominal at best! )
So if you want some power upgrades, spend the $$ (and it will cost $$) and do it right (pullys, cams, ect)

Otherwise, I'd save the $ for more useful things in life, or appearance and sound of the car (tint, nice speakers...) my .02 cents

Intakes and exhaust mods are for those who won't be doing anything else to thier cars and want something that performs a little better than stock. Why nickel and dime your power on simple bolt ons? Is this for "something in the mean time?" Why waste money when you will be replacing these items with something even more powerful? Either spend your money that will contribute to future modification like Kpro, or purchase suspension modifications.
