Default zc runnin rich

hey guys whats up
im having a problem with my zc runnin really rich in the mornin when I first start it I have to crank it like 6 times before itle start and my spark plugs are black I just changed them and instantly they turn black I have a 89 and 89 zc but im runnin a 88 crx si ecu and ideas only gets 190 miles per tank

I used to run my ZC with the Si ecu to pass emissions. I would get a fuel pressure gauge and check the pressure. Also make sure the O2 sensor is in good condition.

Should I get hotter spark plugs and change to a 89 civic computer cuz the spark plugs are pretty dark wich means really rich but I dont know why its runnin so rich

did you replace the O2 sensor recently?

If not that would be my first look.

I would not get different spark plugs unless they are old and worn out. "hotter" plugs will not get rid of the rich condition.

The year of the computer shouldn't matter.

It may be your ignition coil, ignitor, or the timing may be off.

Have you replaced the wires in a while?

The rich condtion can be caused by many things

I havnt rplaced the o2 sensor it still has the same one the zc manifold came with I recently did wires and my distribiter is ok cuz the original one crapped out friday and i had to get another one maybe it is the o2 sensor ill start by changing that

yes...

But the only way he could get more fuel or higher pressures is if the regulator is stuck(most likely not) or the injectors are sticking open(most likely not).

The pressure shouldn't increase unless he has done something to the fuel system. Have you?

no im using all my original dx stuff I notice sometimes it runs good but sometimes it seems like all the power is not there
