Testing waters: ITR transmission *needs work*
'01 Integra Type R hydro transmission
Problems
1. Missing LSD
2. Needs 3rd gear synchro. ONLY grinds under very high RPM.
3. 3 bolt-holes on bottom of tranny are stripped and will need heli-coil. These are the bolts holes that attach the tranny to the block.
4. It has a problem where it wont go into 5th or reverse. 5th and reverse <u>ARE THERE</u>, but there is a problem with the shift arm where it wont go in. This also causes slop in the shifter while in gear. I have been told by a very reputable honda/acura shop in town that it is an easy fix once inside.
This tranny was in my car when I bought it. I am taking the LSD out to go in my new B16 tranny.
This is a true ITR tranny, no bs! The plate is not on the front, it wasn't when I got it, but I bought it from a friend who totalled his ITR, bought it back from insurance, and put all of the ITR stuff on my hatch.
