Default Anyone recommend a good gearshifter ****?

On my '00 prelude, I had a leather gearshifter ****. The threads are now peeling off. Does anyone recommend a good gear shifter for that year? I'd like to get a silver one that isn't cheesy. Does anyone know if they make some where it actually threads onto the threads of my shifter?

Thanks

Get another OEM if you want something that screws on without the adapter. Me personally...I love my Sparco Globe X shift ****. Best 36 bucks I've ever spent on my car. And for 36 bucks I got a set of Sparco pedals with it.

This is the one I have, it is kinda small but comfortbale, and the red lettering matches my car. The only problem is it gets kind of cold in the winter.

why don't some of you like the weighted *****? I've always felt like the inertia carries it into the slots better.

Mines not real clear since it was dark out when I took this picture. But I too have that boot, and yea it took me a little while too considering the bracket that came with the boot does not fit in the console. but it looks alot better than my post of my car stock just a couple of days ago, in the prelude pics.

I would have to agree that more weight on the shift lever is gonna put a little more strain on the tranny and syncros. but only if u were racing. I like weighted ***** because its easier to shift and feels more solid

I have the same boot, and pretty much the same shift ****. I got them from Speed Styles, which is a local honda, acura... parts store. The boot was $45 and the shift **** was $35. I also have a short shifter installed on my car which i got from them too for $40. Then all you have to do is install it all, and it is really simple.
