Default Car was broken into- thank God they didnt know what they were doing

Alright well i havent had much luck the last few months but i think my luck is starting to change... a few months ago my transmission took a crap on me- so i got a new shell and swapped everything over with a new transmission... i had just got all the bugs worked out and the new suspension on a week or so ago and i threw a rod out the front and back of my z6... i just got a y8 the other day with very low miles and for very little money... and i got a whole turbo setup for an awesome price on top of that... its been at the machine shop the last few days getting some work done and i went out to my car last night to grab some tools and i notice that the door is open... i usually leave it unlocked b/c im in and out of it all the time and it sits about 3 ft away from my bedroom window... turns out my headunit was missing and the wire harness was pulled out... whoever did this must have either been stupid as hell or really good... im guessing its the first one considering they took my headunit which i got from a buddy for $25 but left my safc which was right on top of the headunit, my turbo/manifold setup, $600 digital camera, and my ray ban sunglasses on the dash... anyways now its got me all paranoid that my car is a target... i guess thats what comes with moving to miami from BFE ohio ... oh well i guess its time to invest in a security system

F U C K THIEVES, they are idiots and they never steal the good stuff unless they take the whole car, even then you find it and the good stuff is still there. Then on to the next set of theives, The Impound Yard who treat you like you stole the car

take the neccessary precautions involving anti theft devices and theft insurance. remember to save all reciepts for items purchased. bottom line though is that if they want it it's theirs and you should be prepared mentally and emotionally should that day occur. best of fortune to you.

violence got parts back and insured that they would not steal again. violence solved the problem.

playing captain vigilante is all fun and games right up until someone gets shot. even worse if that bullet misses it's target and hits someone else. escalating petty theft into battery and assault is pretty childish, irresponsible, ridiculous, and selfish, to say the least.

nah, that didnt happen. you would be happy that you got your parts back, b/c the police couldnt do anything. the thieves were very stupid and didnt know what they were doing. they were kids who got away with it the first time and thought it was cool. this time they got caught and suffered severly. plus, i told them if i heard of anything else stolen in this area we were coming after them. problem solved. sometimes you cant be a puss about things.

my bad your right, manly men beat up kids. god forbid you have any, hate to think what you'd do if they took a pack of gum from the local 7-11.

If you're going to leave your car unlocked, at least put your valuable away. You're just asking for it if you don't. I'd say that would be the first anti-theft precaution before going to the trouble of an alarm or something.
Although this time you lucked out, just think about next time. Even if you get an alarm, and leave **** like that out, you're asking for it.

Sorry for the rant, and good luck!
