i took my car out for a spin last night... and i ended up racing a guy.. so i missed gear once..... when i got back home i found that my car wont go into reverse... so what does this mean??? is my tranny giving out on me????

 

Check fluid levels, and come back here.

My guess is a bent shift fork, did you SLAM it HARD into gear when u missed?

 

not going into reverse is fairly common, i just put mine into 4th and then into reverse. hopefully it'll be that and not your misshifting ruining your tranny.

 

I hope he wouldnt post cause he cant line his synchro's up for Reverse...My guess is still shift fork.

 

i checked my fluid... it seems that i have a leak some where on the tranny....
