Default H22 tranny issues

car: 92 civic (yeah yeah, I know "get up outta here!")
engine: jdm h22 m2a4 non lsd tranny

on the way to work this morning, for some reason, i lost 1st, 3rd, and 5th gear, but still have 2nd, 4th and reverse. didn't really have much time to trouble shoot.

however, i did check the cables. the shifter console and the cables are connected, and seems like they are moving to their respective positions to what gears (1st thru 5th & reverse), however, i still have no 1st, 3rd and 5th.

im currently at work, but i'm gonna rip into it this week and see what's up with the tranny. i was just inquiring on what other issues you luders might have had with our cable trannies, and those of you who have cracked open the trannies.

any info would be greately appreciated. thanks.

did you try moving the levers on the tranny that the cables connect to? I've broken shift cables before, and they move fine inside the car, but the other end sticks.

same thing happened to me, turned out one of the cables snapped off the tranny. everything looked fine inside though.

im not 100% knowledgeable on egh22 swaps but i will give you this info based on a prelude. The shifting lever on the left is responsible for moving the tranny into 1st 3rd and 5th. so either a) the pin fell out of the cable on the tranny and everything looks fine inside, or b) the lever is fucked.

thanks guys for all the inputs. i found the problem lol. damn cable slipped out of place on the shifter console inside the chassis. just had to rip apart the center console to repair it.
