Default h23a1 crank

is there any STRONGER (able to take higher revs than the h23 crank) that will fit in my h23a1...with slight modification or none at all please help me out, rebuilding for turbo so no is the best time to up in parts

problem with h23 revving is the rods...the crank is plenty strong, but then again i dont know how big of a snail your trying to spin...and if youre dumb enough to run a turbo h23 to b series rev limits

the crank is strong enough, and the problem is more will everything beingout of balance and can cause you to spin a rod bearing. the stock redline is 6500, and fuel cut is 7200 supposidly on the h23 ecu (haven't confirmed that yet) but if you end up building a motor, using the h23 crank as a starting point is just fine. have the rotating assembly balanced and run a fluid based crank dampener,

if you want some more info on cranks, and which ones swap well check out the essential prelude thread, it has info on h23 and h23vtec swaps. in that section there is a good part about high rev's on the 23 crank and the issues associated with it.

main thing i say, watch out for the bearings. main problem ive seen is spinning bearings and sometimes essentially melting them

don't forget oil squirters b/c IIRC lack of lubrication in addition to the stroke are big factors in the low redline of the h23a1

Not quite true, but I can't see the squirters being a bad idea on turbo build regardless. Good luck getting them to fit easily.
