Toe out on CRX rear wheels
Hi there, this is my first post on these forums so hello to everyone :-) I have a 89 CRX Si. I have had it about 6 months and I have discovered that my rear wheels are really toed out. I got my mechanic to screw them all the way in but they still toe in quite a bit and it is burning through my rear tyres. I was wondering if this problem is common with this car or it is just a manufactured thing. Also, is there a fix? Is there some kind of kit I can buy to toe them in more? Any help on this matter i would really appreciate. Thanks

dude- you can if you maxxed out the adjuster and you still have toe out. what is an alignment going to do if you can't move it any further other than verify how much of a problem he has? if it is visually toed out still, then i'd look for the problem first.
can you get under the car yourself to first verify that the toe adjusters are at their max, and second look for/ take pics of any damage that might be there? a shot of one of the wheels as viewed from outside and above the fender would be good too.

how would you know visually its toed out or in?
i just took a garage reading with longacre toe plates to center my steering wheel this weekend. i know my alignments a bit out of whack, i just wanted to center up the wheel tho. anyway, i took a reading of the back wheels, and if i used the bodywork as a reference while looking down, i would have said both wheels were toed in, a lot. when in fact they were toed out 1/16".
so how do you know what the alignment is by just looking?

visually like ran into a curb and you can see it pointing the wrong way kind of visually toed out. i of course advocate getting an alignment reading- i am assuming that when he said they were out, he was sure about it. i wan't to see pics to see if we could find something broken. i just fixed a friends car with the same problem by straightening the subframe with a come-a-long after he whacked a curb.
edit: if they are in fact toed out and out of adjustment, and everything is still structurally fine, i'd get a set of adjustable toe arms and use those plus the max in on the car mounting adjuster to bring it within spec.
i have the spc spherical ones. they also make a rubber version which i would recommend for a street car.
