Default Integra Shift Boot Question

Just finalized the install of my GSR console + GSR shifter + ES Bushings (Love the feel btw!), and I've run into a few clearance issues with the GSR shift boot. I think it's because the teg console actually sits further back in an actual teg, because when I pull the shifter back into 2nd/4th gears the shift boot stretches some...reverse really stretches the boot out. I'm planning to trim the leather portion of the boot to let it sit a bit further back, but I don't think that'll be enough.

I was wondering if anyone who's had this problem before could give me some insight on what they did to remedy it. The GSR shifter is a dual bend btw. Thanks.
