Default maint req. light?

i have a 98 gsr with a 98 spec jdm ITR motor, i have been driving for about 3 months now on the new motor, today my "MAINT REQ." light on the dash came on, there is nothing wrong with the motor everything is working fine. i cant scan for codes b/c the ecu scanner doesnt read with the new jdm itr motor. HOW CAN I CLEAR THE ECU WITHOUT A COMPUTER? I HEARD THERE IS A BOTTON SOMEWHERE, I TRIED THE RELAY BUTTON IN THE EGINE BAY BUT THAT DIDNT WORK, ALSO TRIED DISCONNETING THE BATTERY DIDNT WORK. does anyone know how i can reset it so that light will go off?????

maintanence light is just something acura/honda cars do when u hit a certain number of mileage. has nothing to do with the engine at all. if its a check engine light thats a different story. but yea put ur head underneath the steering column under the dash. u'll see a box with a blue button. press that button, hold it and release it. and no more maintainence light. hope that helps
