Default Advice on prelude purchase

Hey guys,

Looking to buy a 98 prelude with 81k original miles for 9,900.00. I am just looking for a reliable car for daily activities and I was wondering if other prelude owners have had a good track record with preludes, especially involving reliability issues, etc....

The car looks in great shape and was just trying to get anyone's experience, thanks!

Bluebook value on Prelude's is High....but not quite that high. Bluebook looks like 8900 for my zip code.

My Lude's value 6 months ago on KBB was 12,900, now it's 10 something. I have a 99.

I would have to disagree with this. I bought my 94 si in 02 for $4000 out the door at a local dealership. Its retail value now in my zip code is $5500. I got a steal tho. They are great cars and a lot of fun to drive. As long as you keep up on preventative maintenance it will last a long time.

if it's an auto, you could run into some problems with the ss transmission.

i have a '92 and it's never had any serious issues, besides the engine that was pretty much blown when i bought it.

They hold their resale value very well in my opinion.
