what code is it throwing??

is it a code 65 - Secondary oxygen sensor heater wire (black wires)

Ive never had any luck fixing o2 sensors...I just replace them

http://www.sparkplugs.com get a denso first time fit unit

my friend told me to check the wires at the cat if its loose. i havent done that yet. he also told me to reset the ecu.

You reset the code to see if its a dummy code. If its not just replace the o2 sensor, its alot easier then trying to fix them. Did you do anything to the o2 before your code threw?

no i downshifted then redlined it for a bit accidently.. and it threw that code.

Your friend is probably right - get under the car and stop being lazy.

If the wires look good, get a meter, disconnect the O2 from the engine harness and measure between the two black wires. Should be 15-40 ohms. Replace it if it's not.
