anyone use compression tubing for feed?
i cannot find the fittings anywhere around here to get my stainless line to work with the needle valve ill be using to restrict oil flow. but i did find compression tubing which is nylon hosing , flexible and can stand like 168 psi of pressure or something , my oil pressure gauge came with some too but its skinnier than what i have for the main feed line. but will this work? it says can be used with oils so i dunno? its the same width as the stainless hose would be .and i have all the fittings to make it work, its either that or rubber oil hose but if this will work ill use it.
I wouldn't use plastic tube for anything that has anything to do with oil, whether it's a gauge, or whatever. I'd stick with stainless braid line, it's the best solution. Plastic hose doesn't belong under your hood, it's easily kinked, prone to rub-through, and susceptible to failure if the compression fitting if over tightened, which it usually is.
i cant find the fittings anywhere to run my braided line off the T needle valve which has a compression fitting on one end. i may be stuck using the nylon tubing if i wanna keep my adjustable oil to turbo T . i went to alot of plumbing places.
