Default Grounding VTEC

So the JDM D15B swap went fine. Engine runs nice, idles a bit high (due to over tightend throttle cable.) but theres a gaping hole in the VTEC-ness.

We wired VTEC, wires are in correct place in ECU, so we connected the ground to chassis (as we supposed to correct??) Engine wont turn over. Take off ground, engine fires right up.

When we start the engine and THEN try to ground VTEC, the car DIES. almost instantaneously. Then If we put the ground wire onto chassis, you hear a sound like static interference from we believe the distributor area. We know its not the Dizzy, wires, plugs because we swapped them all out and it did it again.

ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA WTF IS HAPPENING?????? We are going to re-wire soon, but any help would be a nice thing.

Oh yea, it throws code 21 (VTEC solenoid...duh VTEC not hooked up, and LOW IGNITION OUTPUT??????) code 21 and (15) I believe
