So i'm dropping my friend off at her car and this guy in a Highlander backs up, turns, and keeps coming at me, i dont have a horn installed and i couldnt throw it in reverse in time so i revved my engine hoping that he would stop but he didnt. He basically rode the Highlander and highlanded up the hood of my car.

My bumper is bent and scratched up, my hood has a whole bunch of dents in it, my hood wont open any more, one of hood pins is bent, my right headlight is pushed in and so on.

I got the guys information and i told him that i wouldnt go through insurance because thats not cool. I'm hoping to pick up a used CF hood and put on my NRG cf locking pins on there.

It kind of sucks since i just got my car running again after it got stolen and then a week later i get backed into.

Any idea on how much or where i can find the cheapest used/new CF hood for an 88 CRX Si?

That all depends on if you get it used or new.

Wait a minute. You're not going to contact insurance because it's "not cool"??? So you're going to trust this guy (who's too stupid to look where he's driving) to pay your bills. What if he flakes out and his insurance won't pay because you waited. Did you file a police report? If there aren't any coroborating witnesses, who's to say he ever hit you? I bet there is little to no damage to his SUV.

Be careful. Trust no one.

 

get a police report asap!!! get his info, if you didnt get it just tell the cops what you know and they will go get him and his info..

my girl got hit in the side right before christmas, she called me at work after they exchanged info, the guy offered her $500 on the spot and she said no.

when she called the cops they filled a report and found him later that day, 10 days later she had a check for $1900 and all she needed was a door ($200 at the yard and my free labor!!) plus she went to the hospital and is getting an extra $3 - 5k for expenses and time off work. she got hit kinda hard but no one got hurt.

that's why people get insurance, don't let this guy play you. plus he is driving an expensive truck, make him (his insurance) pay! g/l

 

Something similar happened to me last year. The guy said he would cover it, That's the last time I saw his ***. Trust me, it's way better to have the guy's insurance cover it cuz it's better to have your ride fixed than to "be cool".
