I'm thinking about getting some traction bars for my hatch. A local speed shop claims that it helped them by as much as 1/2 of second down the 1/4 mile. I just wanted to know if these traction does help as much as they claim. I currently have a fully built motor in my car and was able to run 12.71 down the 1/4. Can these traction bar help me run any faster.

I am not sure of track times but I had a z-10 on my eg hatch. Before I had it on, I had horrible traction, after installing the traction bar, my wheel hop issue was pretty much gone. I also had the NRG H brace on with the traction bar and it worked really well. I would recommend it if you can get your hands on one.
