Default Best year/motor to boost

Hello everyone im a nissan guy and new to hondas...i need a new car so i was thinking an accord...idk what it is but i have always liked the way they looked, I was wondering what would be the best year/motor to get so I can eventually put a turbo on it. I was thinking a 97 with a f22 cause its low compression ideal for boosting...Tell me what you all think also no matter what I do the motor thats getting boosted won't be the one in the car, my friend works at a motor shop and he is gonna help me rebuild/build a seperate motor and tranny specifically for boost, and then just do a swap. But still any help would be gratefully, hit me up on AIM if you dont' mind thats where I am most the time, my sn is foreverhardcor.

most of the sohc 4 F series are pretty low compression.

4 and 5th gen are much lighter than later accord

there's no significant change through out the generation year(unlike mazda and DSM)

Right on! I would say 92-93 in good condition (so you can have ABS) and good compression test numbers across all cylinders.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by H2290 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Right on! I would say 92-93 in good condition (so you can have ABS) and good compression test numbers across all cylinders.</TD></TR></TABLE>

it's not very useful at track(if u know your brake well enough, plus 10+ year honda ABS accumulator=headache), obd1 is less hassle for cel like someone pointed out.

with turbo, a sohc non-vtec motor would be favorable

if you like the 94-97 style go with a 94 or 95 to stay with obd1 it will save you alot of time and trouble down the line when you boost it.
