Default 95 civic vx eg questions

I have a civic vx and when i go fast (85+mph) it starts making some weird noises and it feels as if the engine is shaking or something. I also wanted to say that I have installed a generic short ram intake and it doesn't fit in the intake manifold place. It is as if the pipe is a lot bigger than where it should go and it just goes over the intake manifold hole. I didn't really feel an increase in hp, would you say that getting a cold air intake would greatly increase my hp?

Is the steering wheel shaking? Sounds like you need to balance your tires.

How much is the average price to balance tires? i think i do need to balance the tires but the steering wheel doesn't shake, it just makes some weird noise in the front end of the car. I am not really interested in like swapping the engine because I don't really want to spend a lot of money on it. I would just like to put like small mods such as an intake and like headers. Would you guys think that making a mini me swap on it would be good? It has a vtec e engine (b15z1) economic enigine

Don't think there is such a thing as b15z1.

EG6's are Japanese civics. An EH2 is what you have.

Those are pretty mean words,

But because I feel like being a bit nicer than you: you can mini-me the z1, but you'll get low compression (like 6:1) which really sucks. So you either need to swap the pistons and stuff or do a full engine swap.

I dunno what compression it is for real, but it's low enough to have no power and be totally not worth it. Just get a d15b vtec swao for like 200-300 since you're in the west coast.

Yeah, you've got vtec set up right. Well, engine will prolly be like 200-300, tranny up to 200 depending on which one you want, ecu 100-150 chipped for the right maps, blah blah. If you can find a full swap for sale it'd prolly be cheaper.

I've got a vtec-e and the valve cover says vtec-e i get about 50 mpg but i don't really like it because i would like to get more performance out of my car. I don't really care about saving gas because i don't use it very much.

d15b2, so basically d15b7, and yes, all d series valve covers are interchangeable.
