Default 6th Gen: That compartment under the cruise button, what do you use it for?

On my '99 LX there's a slide compartment under the cruise control button (next to the driver's door) that has an big groove in the base. But it's not tall at all, thus I rarely use it because I can't figure out what I could put in it that would be useful.

Do you use yours? If so, what fits in it?

I never put change in it because any little rattle bothers me (change jiggling). But when I was going on a toll bridge I would put my dollar in there, and leave it sticking out. So when I pulled up to the toll, it was easy to whip it out, and hand it over.

My dad has a '99 LX sedan and we keep a few $1 bills there for emergencies. I do the same in the compartment below the left vent on my '92.

Back when I was single I'd keep condoms in my ashtray of the car I then drove.

As for change, I thought the coin slots in the center console (in the upper bin) was for change? Or I suppose there could be two areas for change. Personally, I keep change in the cupholder area.

And I just wanted to say that I *love* the sunglass holder. Well, I'd love it more if my wife didn't claim it as hers and keeps her sunglasses in there.

If I go on a trip that I know I'll be going through tolls for, I'll throw some quarters, and whatnot in there.

If not, it just stays empty. I hate hearing stuff rattle around in there.

That's a good idea. I had kept $10 or $20 in the center console, but for some reason it keeps disappearing (wife again). I'll start keeping a $10 or $20 bill in that compartment.
