Default I think I fried my ECU..

So i was driving down the lovely NJ Turnpike at about 5500 RPM (damn si trannies!) when all of a sudden my car stuttered, then bogged to about 4500rpm. feels like a fuel problem, i definitely lost power through every gear. Could it be that i fried the ECU? (fuel delivery?) damnit, im so mad.

nope no codes...but the ecu was chipped to have no rev limit...could a modified ecu become a weak target at high rpm?

Chipped? How?

And Si transmissions at 5500 rpm means you were doing 110 mph or so. Slow down.

I'm willing to bet, since you say you have no rev limit, that you have some shitty chip. Like some ebay chip. which is pure crap. I would open up your ecu and put the stock chip back on unless if you have some EXTENSIVE mods (like turbo or a high compression motor). And if you do have some mods like that, chip it with uberdata or crome.

Wait a second, you are running a DOHC ZC (130hp d-series) with a p75 ecu (type-r ecu, b-series 195hp). Is that correct?

EDIT: someone confirm p75 is a type-r ecu, i forget exactly which it is.

A b18b ecu running a dohc zc just doesn't seem right. And if its chipped like Ilovemyed6 says (especially with a shitty ebay chip) its going to flood fuel into the combustion chamber.

Well if it's chipped we have to know what's in the chip before we know anything about how well or not it is fueling the engine.

My Si tranny goes like 110 mph on 5th gear 5500 RPM. But I have a SOHC D15B with a LS(PR4) ECU.

I'm pretty sure that it's not the ECU.

Did to reset your ECU by any chance?
