Default muffler fell off...

muffler fell off doing 80 on freeway and i lost the output pipe. muffler and pipe went flying off into the sholder off a clif

so what do i do now?

#1. get a new muffler (what type recomended?)
#2. find a junkyard one (none in 3 yards today )
#3 find somthing that looks like a muffer and hope i dont get pulled over.
#4 say expletive it and get a catback exsaust.
#5 should i go with stock or upgrade to bigger. (2.25" or 2.5"?)
#6 if i do go bigger, do i retain my origonal cat? or get a 2.25-2.5" aftermarket cat. i'm in CA so smog is a PITA.

keep in mind that a mini me is about a month away and posible turbo in the far future. i allready got mpfi and can hear exceive back presure when i floor it.

youll never find one at a junkyard, go to mineke or any small muffler shop and get custome piping, sohc-1 3/4 in. dohc-2 1/4 in. they should be able to supply a muffler for u, if not buy one at a speed shop...Stay away from ebay mufflers!

haha, my muffler fell off once, while driving beside hot chicks in a 00 Si, after the sparks stopped, i pulled into a gas station, and fastened it with a shoelace. **** held for damn near three days.

Just get a oval muffler from jegs for like $20..Put it in the stock location weld it on and add a pipe with a small tip for stock appearence..

Actually I see you want to go turbo so look into a thermal 3" exhaust,2.5" obx exhaust or go custom..
