rpm at idle?

Default rpm at idle?

whats the normal rpm at idle for a b16a2?

i dont think it matters on the motor.. but i have a gsr and it idles at 600

i was asking cause i idle at like 900 at start up but when i start driving idle jumps to like 1300, and i get a cel after about 5 min of driving. what could this be?

i think it depends on the mods you have. Mine doesnt like to idle at 600 it almost dies. 800-900 is perfect for my car. But i have ctr pistons and cams in my b16. Tell me what the code your throwing is and i could probably help you better. Is your car mostly stock? My guess as of right now is you might want to see if your IACV is bad.

i have simple bolt-ons: intake, cat-back, clutch and type-r ecu

i checked under the dash and i didnt see the port for obd2, am i just blind or are b16a2 swaps not obd2

they are OBD2 unless you convert it to OBD1

in another thread it said that in the 96s its up under the corner of the glove box

im not at home so i cant look but is that where it is?

Im not sure i have a 94 cx with b16a2 in it. my ecu is under the carpet on the passengerside. right under the glove box. But yea definatly check around that area around the glove box. If you dont know how to check an engine code go here https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1171263.
