, to check cam timing you need to line up the marks on the cam gears and the flywheel, no need for a timing gun or light.

having the deuce in a small car makes me delusional sometimes
..i'm just double checking if the intake cam is off then the ignition timing would be off, since its connected to the distributor. I have my distributor turned toward the firewall all the way and the the timing mark for 15btdc is a quarter inch away with no more room for adjusting..the arrows were both pointing up when i did the timing belt..but i didn't check to see if the horizontal lines matched up...TIA
