225/50/15
The first issue to keep in mind is that you will effectively be raising your gearing by running the 225/50/15's, since they will have a larger overall diameter than the stock setup. Secondly, they are going to be pushing the limits of stock-width wheels (assuming that's what you're running), and you might not be pleased with the feel generated by the wider tire on a narrow wheel. Third, if you are already experiencing rubbing issues with the 205's (though the Azenis does tend to run wide for its stated size), you will clearly have greater issues with an even wider tire.
thanks alot. no thanks to that one douche.

well you shouldn't talk, there is a forum created for this question hint hint tires and wheels. Anyways really why do you need so much rubber isn't going to help you it's going to make it worst. You are going to be rubbing like a ************ if you plan on using it for the street. BTW your correct size would be 205/50/15.

"Correct" is all a matter of application. While Padawan is right about everything he brought up, plenty of racers and track guys use that size. 225/45-15 would be better for the gearing issue, as it'd give you that width but not the additional height. For the rubbing issue, maybe you need to raise your car a bit, or again as Padawan said use different wheels. Stock wheels really will NOT be happy with such a wide tire, though technically it will work. You'd want something wider and with a better offset than stock (+40, +38, something like that). On the street, the extra width is unnecessary. On track, go for it. I'd do it if I found some cheap enough.

id do 225 45 15's and just roll the **** outta the fender wheels... u would have a wider wheel base... more tire can help sometimes but 2 much can be a power steal... anywho... i got 205 40 17's on my del sol now and was plannin on do 215's make them a little wider
what are you fucken serious???? what does Montreal know... your an idiot plain and simple. Also you stated driving on the streets with 225 haha have fun and you had an ek question so you posted a ek tire question on the 92-00 civic section instead of the tires and wheels section because no one over there has seen an ek tire question before.
Good Job

To his defense, he did say "track or street driving," neither of which is "daily driving." I don't know why you're making such a big deal out of it, 225 is not THAT wide. 245 would be something else (though that too has been done). Regardless, it's the most intelligent question I've read in the Civic forum in a long time, and I'm all about increasing the overall intelligence of this place.

he is right you will do much better with a softer stickier tread and skinny tire like 195 or 205/50R15 than a 225 than you wont rub either. you'll love a softer tire...

since its a 225/50 i wouldnt go for it just because of the rediculous diameter. maybe, just maybe if you had the right wheels, ride height and transmission(to deal with acceleration loss from the larger diameter.
as mentioned before: azenis do run much larger than prescribed
