Default Car Will not Shift Help Please

I replace my clutch today. I went to put the car into gear, and it will not go into gear. I turned the car off and put it into first. Started car and realesed the clutch. The car went fine, pulled out of first to shift, but the car will not go into the next gear. Any ideas what the problem is thanks.

Do you have transmission fluid in there?

Probably a throwout bearing problem. I had the same problem once when i did my clutch once. People kept asking did i put the throwout bearing in the wrong way, they said there is an top and bottom (i didn't know that there was a top and bottom, and still not sure.) I had to drop the tranny again and spun the throwout bearing around. After doing that it went into gear. But i don't know if this is the answer to the problem, worked for me.

yes there is fluid, and the trowout bearing is in. I am unsure if it is in upside down. I will have to keep trying.

I'm just stating, it would be harder to get it into gear if there was no lube there.
