Default Would having your wastegate open or close during daily driving which would overspin the turbo?

Like the title says can some one please explain to me what makes a turbo over spin or over spin thanks you

You won't overspin the turbo during regular driving unless you go WOT, basically.

You will overspin the turbo if the compressor outlet is disconnected from anything.

x2. If you have the wastegate always open, you just won't make any boost. The only time you overspin if you disconnect the charge pipe from your car.

Depends on the efficiency of the turbo If you are using some puny lil turbo then yes it will run out of breathe and you will spin it and nothing will happen.

Ya, 'cause large turbos are more efficient when connected to nothing... look at the frigging question, it's about turbos IN GENERAL.
