B18C1 Swap help
I'm dropping a B18C1 in a '94 Civic and wanted to know if the stock tranny will bolt up until I get another one and what kind would be the best to go with? Same with the CV shafts?
Wait, what? Are you asking if you can use your stock d-series tranny on the gsr swap? If so, then no.
Everyone will have a diff opinion on what's the "best" tranny is for it. The gsr tranny is perfectly fine if your guna boost it or w/e your plans are. B16/ITR would be better for all-motor. << MY OPINION

This is the first swap that I have ever done so I may ask stupid questions, but I want to make sure that I get everything correct. I'm still new at this and learning. I don't plan on running any boost on it yet. The B18C1 has been slightly modified with Type R pistons and 0.02 bore on the head and a Skunk 2 intake manifold.
I think I will once I get it all set up the way I want and learn more about doing this. I have many questions and so few people care to give answers before judging. Will I need to upgrade the motor mounts or will the stock ones from the '94 civic work? Also, what about tha radiator, I'm sure it will need to be replaced as well. What would be the best ingnition for this set up? MSD 6A with a blaster 3 coil, firball distributor and 10mm wires?

You should probably upgrade the mounts since the motor is already out, and you can use your stock civic half radiator. Stock ignition is fine, just get some nice NGK plugs.

If you got the gsr mounts use them and if your radiator is shot then change it otherwise youll be fine the motor should drop right in and plug up and you should be driving all in a days work.
Ok, I'm running into a problem with the wiring harness. The engine wiring harness from the b18c1 gsr will not match up to the stock ecu wiring . Any advice on this. I was told that there may be an adapter that I can use for this or do I need to get the harness from the ecu to the engine bay replaced?
the gsr harness should be plug and play. you have to wire in the IAB and the knock sensor. if its a 94 civic, you are going to need a 0bd 1 gsr ecu or chipped p28 ecu
ok. I have the ecu, but the engine wiring harness is not plugging into the wiring harness that runs from the ecu through the firewall into the engine bay. the plug ends are different and will not match up. is it possible that the engine wiring harness is the incorrect one?
I was able to hook up the stock wiring harness, but the car will not start and it is throwing the error code 13: atmospheric preesure. what does this mean? I havent wired in the IAB yet. I can't find the sensor for it on this engine.
