well i recently put a low mileage a6 back into my 90 si hatch.i bought the motor as a short block with no manifolds on it or dizzy. i put a yy8 intake on it and all the rest stock. now yesterdy night i got to start it up and spins over way to easy so immediatly i think timing was 180 off and it was (bought it like that). next i dont smell any gas after tuning it over and over and there was no spark. now is there a relay for both or could it be that the fuel pump is bad and that the dizzy is also bad?

i bought the car itself as a shell so im not sure if the pump was bad from the start. lmk any suggestions thanks.

 

i thi nk i reemmber having a similar problem with my car and it was something to do with the dizzy. the cyl position sensor maybe

I doubt the pump & dizzy went bad simultaneously.....I'd check to see that all the grounds you messed with are clean and tight. And fuses of course.

It's tough to tell because you had to mess with a lot of ****. Did you actually pull the plugs afterwards??

 

well it does help if you have an ecu in the car...........
