Anybody notice a ringing sound when VTEC engages? It goes away as soon as I drop out of VTEC territory. Sort of sounds like a heat shield rattle, but seems to be coming from the engine compartment. Car has 50,000 miles. Any ideas?

OK maybe "ringing" wasn't a very good description. It is a really high pitched rattle, like a set of car keys was hanging off the side of the block, not very loud.

 

is your car stock? mine does that a little at very high RPS because of my test pipe

 

AEM sprockets, set at 0 degrees for now, DC 4-2-1 stainless header, intake silencer removed.
