Default high flow cat?

Would you suggest doing a high flow cat or a test pipe? Will the test pipe make my exhaust sound raspy? I have an evo 2 and like it just the way it is

I'm running a Catco High-Flow Cat on my 94 VTec model and while it may have been pricey it was worth it. Noticeable difference and you run less of a chance of throwing codes with a high flow cat.

I've heard people saying KTeller High-Flow Cat or Carsound is good. It's KTeller.com I believe. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Theres no sneaking around with a test pipe, mine sounds great under 50% throttle, but anything over is VERY loud. Hella VTAK ATTACK YO

I have a test-pipe right now but I plan on replacing it with a
high-flo cat and a 2.5in collector

eh, I hope it doesn't make THAT much of a difference in sound - the EVO exhausts sound great, low deep tone - I'm not trying to sound like a ricer with a fart can.........thats going to suck............

Alright - time for an update. As you know, I have a test pipe - just put it on earlier in the night. I have some pros and cons.

Pros: I can really feel the difference. And i give it a

Cons: It made the exhaust a little raspy - not as bad as a fart can, but definately a little more raspy. The sound is still good though. The evo exhaust is damn good - it had a really low tone before. Another con - it took a while to get the damn cat bolts all off. We had to use a mapp torch to light the ******* up. But they came off without too much of a headache.

Overall - its good. I give it a 8 out of 10 on overall satisfaction. I think you should get a test pipe($10 off eBay) and if you don't like it, just get a resonated test pipe. I don't know how 'in touch' you are with your car - but I can definately feel the difference.

Sorry. Had a stock cat.

Believe it or not - but I gained a LOT of respect from my "Ford and Chevy" friends. I raced a z28 yesterday - he barely beat me......Then everyone wanted to drive my car.......then they FINALLY admitted that it wasn't that bad. They're used to civics w/fart cans on them - so the Honda image was tainted. But I got some kudos for us all. I think they still hate civics though.

Usually they're all about their Ford 350 shortblocks, and their 4.7L, 5.0....6.1 crap and all that crap I don't know about.....I put the import back on the map here in Indianapolis..........
I let them know - Ford sucks
Chevy Sucks

And Dodge is the worse one - "lets see if we can fit a Hemi in everything! We gota hurry before it goes out of style! Hmm.....a Jeep! Throw a Hemi in it! - a Neon.......will it fit?"

2.2L ..............thats how we role.

^^ Ha ha!! Im thinking about a smsp hi flo cat or a straight pipe. What is your opinion of an ECS. This way you can run open header before the cat or testpipe.

Supposedly 9-10whp.

Basically you have a switch in your car that will open up a pre cut hole in the header and at the same time block the flow so it is forced to go out the side. Check out one of the videos. It shows how it works. You can open and close the header when you want.
