Well im driving today and i come to a stop light and i can smell something weird. Its not antifreeze,oil,clutch. I dont know if its brake fluid or what but my brakes work fine. Any idea's guys? Let me know.. Thanks

No cat, Very little smell in the engine bay, Somewhere under possibly.

 

Proobably just the smell of the exhauaust with no cat, my B16 CX with no cat has that same smell.

 

I have never smelled it before. Just started today.

 

Anyone got any more idea's of what this smell could be?

 

is it a rubber smell ? i drove over a plastic bag and for like a week it smelled like burning wire's and rubber....

 

If the smell happened one time, It could of been the car in front of you, Sir. If it continues, reply to this post with more of a description as to what the smell is.

 

Agreed you need to give more of a discription of what it smelled like. i drove over a paper bag once and smelled weird stuff for a week straight

same here... and boy does it smell

 

hit a skunk like a year ago and it still stanks i think

and the other day i was under my car hooking up my down pipe and found a huge clump of hair

 

jack up your car you might have a dead rat in there or something

Any white smoke? If so you might have a hole in the radiator or hose somewhere.

 

burt cats usually smell like a bean eating contest =/ and man on man it's another world when a plastic bag flies under and finds a nice spot on your headers....

 

I had a smell problem too.

It kinda smelt like hot brakes, but it was my light switch shorting out.

Maybe check that.

Found out what it was after jacking my car up.. there is a garbage bag melts to half of my exhaust.

 

Worst smell I ever had in my car was this chicks sTiNkIE kOoKiE.
