Default i've got $5000

Allright, I 've got $5,000 to spend. '99 Ls. Should I spend it on an Type R Or Gsr engine swap, OR $5,000 worth of go fast goodies for my LS engine? All I have on it now is an intake.

definetely into a turbo setup..

I put 5k into my LS, went built ls/vtec... i'm happy with it, but for the money spent i could have twice as much power on a good ls/turbo..

I say spend 1500 on suspension and exhaust and keep the rest for emergency or take a trip out of the country....treat yourself to something nice or pay off any debts you may have.......dont invest all your money into a car....***** not worth it.....but hey thats just me...unless money aint a thang...... there's more important things then just cars...

It all depends on what your preferences are what it will be used for. No one on this board can tell you what you want to do. Some of the questions you need to ask yourself are, Is it going to be a drag, autox or steet car? Do I want forced induction or N/A.

Also if you just have an intake, I'd invest some of that money into a decent suspension system.

Suspension is a big part of your car if you realize it or not.

A boosted integra is alot of fun to drive, reguardless of vtec or not. But black fire is right. you need to find out what your using it for and learn as much as you can about setups and what sounds best to you.

That sounds good, but seriously suspension is a must, but you need to find out what you want this car to be for, and then go from there.

you can do the same thing as me. im buying a 93 civic si with a ls/vtec swap for 2700 and a turbo kit for that for 1500. so i get the best of both worlds for under the 5000 loan i took out.

Boost the LS, save the rest of the left over cash.

I say don't put all of it into your car. Suspension, exhaust, header, intake, then invest the rest, or put it in a savings so you can gain interest.

I should have mentioned that I've got other money set aside for the brakes and suspension. I'd most likely keep it a street car(90% and 10% 1/4 mile and solo racing). So the $5000 is for just the engine stuff and a little interior. I'll most likely keep it NA but the turbo does make a good argument. And also I'm not blowing all my money on a car, I've still got plenty left in savings
