gas gauge and tank question
on a 93 4 door civic, does the dash have a light for when there's only a gallon or so left? the low gas light like on other cars?
sorry, my car doesn't have the owner's manual.
also, it was on empty today and only got in 10 gallons. what's the capacity of the tank? I thought I was getting really bad gas mileage but with only 10 gallons going in it was actually at about 28mpg. (I need to fix a couple things.)
also, is the tank shape/size normal so that the gauge needle is accuate?
that probably doesn't make sense but on a toyota matrix I used to own, it was like 3/4 of the tank was actually in the upper half of the needle and then once you got down passed the half tank mark, it went down really fast like it was really only a 1/4 tank left. Hope that makes sense.
TIA

The tanks are not a normal shape. They are contored funny. And it doesn't take much to knock off the accurecy of your guage. Also , as far as I know all Hondas take forever to get down to half , but after that the tank pretty much dissapears.
