I have this friend who is taking a automotive class and his teacher is a big red neck v8 loving closed minded retard....But anywho he was saying that Cams dont do anything for cars than move the power curve, they dont make horsepower ppl like us that buy "bolt ons" are idiots. But im trying to make a bet with him if i buy cams for my car which is a H22 and i procude HP he pays for everything if i dont i sell my "rice burner" and move on to american cars cuz according to him are better built...
But i was hoping threw the help of HT we could show this redneck..i need help in funding a set of cams for my car or if someone wants to donate a set i know this sounds crazy. Now im in the military i wouldnt do anyone wrong so if companies like rocketmotorsports, skunk2, crower wish to sponsor support this bet please help me. Ill be sure to document everything but please help me i dont want to lose my beloved H22! and a bet to some redneck

 

why dont you just show him like 5030403 posts on here of peoples dynos with and without cams

hondas are one of the best built cars out there...if he disagrees tell him to get his ***** *** out of the classroom and into a shop where he belongs (i bet he gets fired cause he cant work on cars anyway) and then count how many hondas are there vs domestic pos mobiles

Remember to etract any actual gains from cams you need camgears that are ajustable and then to have the cams dialed in properly. This is NOT something you do on a dyno by the way you do this before you even fire the engine. It costs about $80 from summit to get a camshaft degreeing wheel kit to do it right. He is right that if you just put cams in there you won't really make any power as the timing of the valves will not be correct for the enigine position. YOU HAVE TO DO IT RIGHT OR DON"T EVEN BUY CAMS! It takes like 2-4 hours to do and it's easy if the engine is out of the car as well.

thats why when i do get cams he'll do the install adn ill take it to a dyno to have them tuned and what not.

im in college and i have to go to class and work just to pay my tuition books, meals, rent, insurance, phone bill, old student loan, car parts, clothing, hookers, beer, rubbers to do milfs around the pools i clean...
i know rocket makes good cams(please rocket send em over, im even a member in your forum, come on) oh crower..(ill put a sticker on my car for stage 3's) Brad please make me a custom set and port my head and if you guys on here could collect like 200 bucks i can take spelling lessons so i can learn how to type legible posts and brad can put some new valvesprings in too...i just wanna prove to every ignorant redneck in NC that my car isnt some slow riced out pos and i actually know something about cars

 

you're gonna have a hard time getting someone to donate cams so you can win a bet. even for someone to let you borrow cams is a lot of work, for the donator and you. i know what its like to be on a budget, but even if you just got an better intake cam (no exhaust cam) you would see some power increase and win the bet. search around ebay and the marketplace forums.

edit: and yo will see power from just an intake cam, i've seen it done on B series motors.
