Man, who rides in the rain?
The weatherman said it'll start raining at midnight. So I went for a ride around 7pm...around 9 it started to poor. Cold (Washington DC/VA area). And in this area, the roads are crap, there are a ton of asphalt patches due to the snow ruining the cheap DOT roads. My front was sketchy at times.
So I ask, who rides in the rain? And I was being very cautious; I cant imagine riding around in that being fun to other riders.

The only time i really hate riding is in strong wind....when it seems like you have no more control over the bike....and the wind is random.

It's not so much my own riding that I'm worried about, but the idiot cagers around me.
If you've been to LA, then you know about the can't-drive-for-$h!t drivers here. Imagine that they have less visibility and less control. Spooky stuff.
I ride, rain or shine. If I don't need to be out, then I don't ride when it rains.

Yep, that's what I was going through last week. And I'd go 60-70 trying to clear it up, but it didn't go away. Not good.
I do have a can of rain-x in the garage, gonna have to put that to use.

When you guys get stuck in the rain, if you have the opportunity... use compressed air to blow that **** out of the nooks and crannies before it drys up and causes rings/pools of ugliness.

Me too. Although I have been caught in the rain a couple times. Being smooth with both the brake and throttle is the key. Avoid those painted lines and manhole covers. One time my front slid out from me a little coming to a stop to make a right hand turn, downhill.......scared the **** outa me, I thought I was going down fo sho, but I was able to keep the bike upright thankfully.

ive been stuck in the rain a few times and ive got a little trick to help with the rain on the visor.. its not rocket science... but when water starts building up on your visor.. all i do is turn my head about 90 degrees to the left or right.. about parralllel with my shoulders and WAM.. bye bye water... it clears the visor right off for a lil while... just my advice.. it helps alot!
