Just installed AEM intake on the SI
Just got the AEM intake installed.....everything went OK...no CARB numbers on the intake yet
Alot louder....ALOT.
About 1 hour install.
Didn't feel much of a difference in power...throttle response seems to be alittle better.
Tip: the upper rad. hose touches the intake elbow supplied with the kit...install new hose clamps at the ends and pull back the upper hose 1/2" from where they come from the factory....that allows some clearance between the hot hose and the new intake.
Happy motoring

you know i always wondered about that with K-series... so your sayin you have it set so that the intake isn't touching the rad.hose?

what do you think, I installed my intake also yesterday and was think since the filter is right behind the foglight opening cut slits in th e opening to provide more to the filter if you look at the fog light install on here for the new si there are slits in the plastic that could be cut with a dremel and used as a way to get more cold air in
To answer both previous questions, One you have to take off the bronze coolant and vaccum line that is joined together. Then replace both with rubber lines. You also had to move the MAF sensor down a bit and second the intake cost me 225 shipped from kumura motoring. If you check my previous posts there is a write up how to do it in there
