hey i just bought a 92 or 93 civic si hatch for 1000$ bucks.. i bought it as a beater cuz my other 92 civic dx hatch is auto and i miss driving stick...

are all the 92 or 93 si hatch's vtec? i know it's a 1.6l sohc engine but i dont know if the vtec was an option or not

Yes, it has VTEC

 

yup i think its a D16Z6. Thats what my bro's has. It has no vtec label anywhere, not even on the valve cover. If urs is in good shape, that was a steal!

Vtec. althogh be vigilant, i went to a use car lot and the guy tried to sell me a swapped Si that had a dx motor....dont take our word for it, post a pic or check the engine code

(that dealer was the ****, he says "oh you can hear it it goes WEEEEEEEEEE! when you drive LOL)
