Is there anyone on this board that is willing to post, or know where I can find, actual Helms step by step instructions and diagrams on how to replace the cam seal on a 1994 GSR. I would really appreciate it. Thanks guys!

its really not that hard, since you have a 94 you have the old style seal, its a lil harder but just takes time. i can walk you thru it if you need me too....btw dont buy the str seal, honda has since made a much better seal (the new style seal) and it only costs $4.

 

aw wtf i'll help ya out (im bored)

1.remove+ disconnect vtec seloniod
2.remove vlave cover (remove breather tube,ground strap,etc)
3.remove camshaft holder plate ,one closest to headers(loosen STARTING FROM the center in,working outward 1/4 turn at a time) btw youll need a braker bar for this,trust me.
4.carefully pry out old seal
5.clean surface area w/ carb cleaner on a rag
6.put new seal in + dap a little honda bond on the seals o-ring
7.put back together in reverse order
8 you need a torque wrench for the camshaft holder bolts,6mm bolts torque 108 IN-lbs, 8mm bolts 20 FT lbs.

install valve cover in reverse order,check for leaks. '
its a quick rundown i know but you now get a better idea.
