Default We Need VTEC!

My cousin and I just finished a b16a1 swap into his crx, wiring is fine everything is finished car runs really good, speedometer cable is plugged in however is not working..so neither is the VTEC. A good friend of mine who has done about 20 dpfi-mpfi B16 swaps says it needs some sort of speed sensor? I also heard him mention 90-93 integra, does anyone know exactly what the name of this part could be and if it is from a 90-93 integra or 99+ SI? thanks

did you keep the electronic vss that came with the B16? if you did you need to take it out and use the d series cable vss.

Shoulda started your own thread but it sounds like you need a new speedometer, I don't know what else could cause it to work and be that off. Replace the speedometer, it 's easy to replace and you don't need an entire cluster to do so, I think it's only 4 screws to remove once the cluster is out.

put the d series(stock one) in the b16 tranny, and plug the factory crx speedo cable in, make sure its tight, and the ring it on right... Thats all you need
