Default Ditch the 8" JRC for a 31x9x3 BAR and PLATE intercooler...advice

like the title says i been running it a JRC 6" then swapped to the 8" now thinkin bout upgrading again since i plan on pushing 400whp+, any advice would greatly be appreciated...

i am making 366whp at 1 bar on 91 pump gas with the 8" haven't really run it hard around town...

is it worth to swap and how much more beneficial is it towards my setup...

Hmm.. A tiny JRC intercooler against a large bar and plate.. What do you think?

thanks for the reply...i remember seeing somewhere someone posted they rather have a big fmic bar and plate from ebay opposed to the JRC 8"

i just did a quick search...and alot of fellow hondatech memebers said that tube and fin transer heat faster...better for around town driving...

bar and plate used on 1300hp HKS dragster
tube and fin produces and efficient for well up to 1000hp

is it worth upgrading i ask that very question again?

its all about efficeny. a fuckoff big intercooler wont make ur car go faster unless the core is fuckoff mad. its called cheap tiwanese crap which americans pay ALOT more for then they should. they cost 100USD shipped in australia - no joke.

Datalog ur intake temps. if they climb exponentially with more boost, well then u need a more efficent core. big doesnt mean efficent.

well during my last street tune...a/i temp seem find...but my tuner told me if i were to upgrade fmic best to do b4 i get onto the dyno...i am running neptune and don't have way of monitoring the a/i temp for myself

i don't care for the fuckoff intercooler making my car go faster really...i just want to keep my car as cool as possible while boostin and not melt anything thanks for the info...

if its for drivin round round town u may wanna go with a tube so the airflow produces a more denser charge and isnt restricted as much, as the bar and plate would restrict airflow and produce cooler temperatures for highway use and high rpms
