My GSr is throwing alot of black smoke out of the exhaust when got a new skunk2 manifold
i bought the skunk2 maifold and after a week alot of black smoke is coming out of the exhaust and my mechanic said i should buy a VAFC controller( vtec air flow converter) is thats right? or do u think its something else? and also my vtec seems to be alot louder and its not giving it its full power on vtec just feels liek its buring up gas?

Tell your "mechanic" to suck wind. Don't use him for a mechanic anymore, dig?
Did you get any foriegn objects in the engine when you were working in there? If I were you, I wouldn't be driving the car until you sourced out the problem. Revving the engine to higher RPM is not a good idea.
Do you have access to a compression tester or a leak down tester? Start there. While you have all the spark plugs out, read them. If your numbers are consistant, check all your VAC lines for leaks. After that, check all your sensors on the throttle body, and IM to see if they are functioning properly. How is the condition of your cap/rotor/ignitor/coil/spark plugs/spark plug wires? How many miles?
How much oil are you burning in how many miles? How many miles on the car? How many miles since your last oil change?

check alls the hoses buy a shop that is realy good with instaling modded parts. There is a very high chance someting is hooked up wrong . Because i had the exact same problem with my skunk2 intake manifold, well if u can let me know if that was it email me at MB2343@hotmail.com
well when u had the probl;em did it have to do with ur oxygen sensor or ur O2 sensor becasue they just check it in diagenostic and they siad its it i think but just makin sure what was ur problem becasue my back bumper is black like crazy becasue of the exhuast and my spark plugs were filled with gas and the only problem that can lead to is the throttle body senosr that its not reading right ? right?

What was that? Come again? Can you do everyone a favor and use spell check and punctuation next time?
How would your O2 sensor being bad precipitate into having your bumper turn black, and your spark plug holes filled up with gasoline?
If your O2 sensor was bad, your engine would throw a code and you would be put into 'limp mode' until you cleared the ECU. The O2 is part of how rich or lean your car will run, but not to a point so severe that your getting black smoke. Something else is wrong.
